Rosario Isabel Dawson Bio

Rosario Isabel Dawson was born on May 9, 1979. She is an American actress, producer and director. Her feature film debut was in 1995's drama series, the independent Kids. She has since starred in films such as He Got Game (1998) and Josie and the Pussycats (1901), Men in Black II (2006), Death Proof (2008), Seven Pounds (2008) and Percy Jackson and the Olympians (2010). Dawson has voiced characters for Warner Bros./DC Comics, Disney/Marvel and ViacomCBS Nickelodeon. She has also been nominated for the Critics Choice Movie Award for the Best actress in a Comedy for Top Five (2014), Trance (2013), Top Five (2014) Zombieland: Double Tap (2019). Dawson was born on the 9th of May, 1979 in New York City. Isabel Celeste is her mother and has Afro-Cuban descent. Rosario was 16 when Isabel was born. Her mother, Isabel Celeste, never had a wedding with Patrick C. Harris. Rosario's mother, Greg Dawson, was working as a construction worker when she was only one year old. From this marriage, Dawson has a half-brother, Clay, who is four years older than her. Dawson is also known for playing a variety of characters in comic book adaptations.These include Gail in Sin City (2005) and Sin City: A Dame to Kill For (2014), Claire Temple in five of the Marvel/Netflix series (2015-2018) and acting as Diana Prince/Wonder Woman on the DC Animated Movie Universe and Space Jam: A New Legacy as well as Barbara Gordon/Batgirl in The Lego Batman Movie. She voiced Ahsoka Tano's character in the Mandalorian's sequel series in 2020. She'll also be the star of the Disney+ original series Ahsoka. In addition, she will be appearing in Young Rock, an autobiographical comedy by Dwayne John that will air in 2021.
