Natalie dormer
Natalie Dormer
(born 11 February 1982) is an English actress. Her nominations include an
Empire Award, nominations for Critics' Choice Awards, two Gemini Awards, and
two Screen Actors Guild Awards. Born in Reading, Berkshire, Dormer gained
notoriety for her character of Anne Boleyn in The Tudors, a Showtime series The
Tudors (2007-08), which won her wide acclaim. In Sweet Nothings (2010), she
made her stage debut and was also the Duchess of York in Madonna's W.E. (2011)
as well as Private Lorraine in Captain America: The First Avenger (2011). The
Young Vic praised her performance in After Miss Julie (2012). Dormer received
international recognition and acclaim for playing Margaery Tyrell on the HBO
series Game of Thrones (2012-2016) and Cressida in the two final installments
of The Hunger Games franchise (2014-2015) and are among her top-grossing
movies. She also played the role of Irene adler/Moriarty in the CBS series
Elementary (2013-15), Sara Price Jess Price (2016, 2017) and Onica in The Dark
Crystal: Age of Resistance (2019). She was praised for her performance in Penny
Dreadful City of Angels (2020). Dormer was born in Reading (Berkshire), England
on the 11th February 1982. She is the daughter of Gary Dormer, Claire Richards
and Samantha Dormer.
